Hello Guys and Gals,
A lot has happened in the guild recently. Over the past month or two we have worked to transition from a somewhat "casual" guild to an more "hard-core" raiding guild. With this effort, we've seen tremendous progress and achievement, but we've also undergone some stresses and strains, which are to be expected.
The officers wanted to take a moment to let you know of some rather big changes in the works. These changes are being made in response to obstacles that have arisen as well as the feedback that some of you have been giving. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, but the goal is a broad revamp of the guild in order to make everybody happy and still capable of progressing through the content. I'll briefly go over some things that have been proposed.
Class Leaders: A leader will be assigned to each of the nine classes. The class leader will be a "go-to" person for any questions or concerns an individual might have. The person chosen as leader will be chosen for their extensive knowledge of the class and as such is a great resource for less-experienced players to seek out for little tips to improve their game. The class leader will also be judging your individual progress and will advise you on possible areas of improvement. At this time the leaders will likely be picked from the officer rank, but be aware that anybody who displays skill and potential will be considered for promotion.
Scheduling: This seems to be one of the main sources of frustration right now. We are considering the idea of pre-scheduling the raid days in advance based upon player availability. Again, nothing set in stone, but this may entail people giving us their availability, and the raid being scheduled for whenever we have the proper group online. This means the raid may not be at 6 server time, and the members of the raid may change through the week.
Attunement: There remains a large group of players who are not yet Kara attuned. You have all been approached individually by now. Please know that as a raiding guild, attunement is required, and is
the responsibility of the individual, not the guild. Feel free to ask for help from the guild, but please don't become upset if you don't get it. There are always PUG groups going to the needed instances. We PUG'd it.. so can you
Since we started out as a casual guild, there may be people who aren't interested in raiding but still wish to be a part of the guild. These people are free to speak to Vyshis or an officer privately about the matter.
These are just a few products of recent brainstorming. With changes coming, we wanted you guys to be aware of what was going on and to not become too concerned. We welcome any suggestions or feedback you might have for us as to what you'd like to see happen, and this forum is a perfect place for it. Above all, remember that this is a game and is meant to be fun, so let's have fun.
