Some of the my most useful trinkets are the Engineer teleport trinkets. Right now I have the Gadgetstan and Tanaris teleports and use them both almost every time I play. I can get to any continent in the world pretty much instantly. Combined with a hearthstone, it's just great!
The problem is, like all engineering trinkets, they have issues. Like when you get changed into a different race...

It's all worth it in the end. Because, really, how often do you get to be a troll in Stormwind?
And dance with the King of Stormwind!
So, engineering stuff has some flaws sure, but hey, I can turn people into chickens so I got that going for me.
